In Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced plans to expand the existing Palasuni bridge over the Gangua Nala from a four-lane road into a six-lane bridge to relieve heavy traffic congestion on this key stretch of National Highway 16. The project will cost about ₹25 crore, with work expected to be completed within one and a half years — according to Birendra Singh, the NHAI Odisha Chief Officer. Web reports show similar six-lane widening plans were approved with an estimated cost of ₹50 crore to mitigate traffic in the Palasuni area.
