Piyush Tripathy has received a legal setback as the Bhubaneswar Court has restrained him from performing on stage until the next hearing. The restriction was imposed following a complaint filed by Jatra party promoter Pramod Swain.

According to the complaint, Piyush Tripathy had entered into a two-year contract with Pramod Swain’s Jatra parties, Swapna Mahal and Surya Mandir Jatra Party. It was alleged that Tripathy violated the agreement by joining another troupe, Jatra Singhabahini.
