A shocking complaint has come to light from Patnagarh in Balangir district, where a man was fined three years after his bike was stolen, but the stolen vehicle has still not been recovered. The bike owner, Chhayakanta Sahu, alleges that although he reported the theft to Patnagarh Police Station on 12 January 2023, and the police were unable to trace the motorcycle, he recently received a message stating that a fine of ₹6,000 has been imposed in his bike’s name on 29 November 2025.
