In Bhubaneswar, auto drivers staged a striking protest today following repeated accidents involving Ama Buses that have raised public safety concerns. Drivers and members of the Online Smart City Auto Drivers’ Maha Sangh came together at a protest spot where they performed a symbolic ritual worship of an Ama Bus as “Yamraj”, the god of death, using incense and lamps, to express their frustration and fear over deadly bus incidents on city roads.
