The winter session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly has officially begun. On the first day, Mohan Charan Majhi moved a condolence motion to honour deceased members and public servants, following which a two-minute silent prayer was observed in the House. Shortly thereafter, the Speaker adjourned the House until 4:30 PM.

The solemn start reflects respect for departed legislators and sets a sober tone before legislative business commences.

With the session underway, members will now prepare to discuss pending bills and government agenda over the coming days.
