Senior Congress leader and former MLA Mohammed Moquim has been expelled from the party following disciplinary action by the Pradesh Congress Committee. The decision was taken by PCC President Bhakta Das, citing breach of party discipline and public remarks made before the media against the central leadership and the PCC chief.

The action comes five days after Moquim openly criticised the party leadership. Announcing the decision, the PCC President stated that Moquim’s comments amounted to indiscipline, prompting strict action.
