Accused Dies in Police Custody After Arrest in Khordha’s Illegal Liquor Case

ପୋଲିସ୍ ହେପାଜତରେ ଅଭିଯୁକ୍ତର ମୃତ୍ୟୁ। ଚୋରା ମଦ କାରବାର ଅଭିଯୋଗରେ ଖୋର୍ଦ୍ଧା ବାଣପୁର ପୋଲିସ୍ ଛବୀନ୍ଦ୍ର ନାୟକଙ୍କୁ ଉଠାଇ ଆଣିଥିଲା। ବାଣପୁର ପୋଲିସ ହେପାଜତରେ ଅଭିଯୁକ୍ତର ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ଅଭିଯୋଗ ହୋଇଥିଲା । ଚୋରା ମଦ କାରବାର ଅଭିଯୋଗରେ ଛବିନ୍ଦ୍ରଙ୍କୁ ଉଠାଇଥିଲା ପୋଲିସ୍ ।

In Khordha’s Banpur area, an accused person has died in police custody, officials say. The police had arrested the man — identified locally as Chhabindra — on charges related to illegal liquor business and brought him to the Banpur police station. After his health reportedly deteriorated suddenly, authorities shifted him to a hospital. The police van transported him to Capital Hospital, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.
