The Special Crime Unit (SCU) of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissionerate Police arrested three alleged drug traffickers—Samir Khan, Sek Irshad Mohammad, and Muna Khan—all residents of Jaleswar in Balasore district—while they were selling brown sugar (white poison) in the capital city. Authorities seized approximately 370 grams of brown sugar valued at around ₹37 lakh in the international market. The operation was based on reliable intelligence, dealing a blow to narcotics networks supplying from Balasore to Bhubaneswar.
