26 Maoists of Andhra–Odisha Border Division Surrender Before Sukma Police

ଆନ୍ଧ୍ର ଓଡ଼ିଶା ଡିଭିଜନର ୨୬ ମାଓବାଦୀଙ୍କ ଆତ୍ମସମର୍ପଣ । ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମୁଣ୍ଡରେ ଥିଲା ୬୪ ଲକ୍ଷ ଟଙ୍କାର ପୁରସ୍କାର । ମାଲକାନଗିରି ଜିଲ୍ଲା ସୀମାନ୍ତ ଛତିଶଗଡର ସୁକମା ଜିଲ୍ଲା ପୁଲିସ ନିକଟରେ ଆନ୍ଧ୍ର-ଓଡିଶା ବର୍ଡର ଡିଭିଜନର ୨୬ ମାଓବାଦୀ ଆତ୍ମସମର୍ପଣ କରିଛନ୍ତି । ଜିଲ୍ଲା ପୁଲିସ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟାଳୟରେ ଏସପି କିରଣ ଚୌହାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଏମାନେ ଆତ୍ମସମର୍ପଣ କରିଥିଲେ। ପ୍ରଶାସନ ତରଫରୁ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ୫୦ ହଜାର ଲେଖାଏଁ ଆର୍ଥିକ ସହାୟତା ପ୍ରଦାନ କରାଯିବା ସହ ଆତ୍ମନିର୍ଭରଶୀଳ କରାଯିବ। ଏଥିସହ ମାସିକ ୧୦ ହଜାର ଟଂକା ୩ ବର୍ଷ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଦିଆଯିବ। ସରକାରଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ ସୁବିଧା ସୁଯୋଗ ଏମାନେ ପାଇବେ ବୋଲି ପ୍ରଶାସନ ପକ୍ଷରୁ କୁହାଯାଇଛି।

In a major development, 26 Maoists of the Andhra–Odisha Border Division surrendered before the Sukma district police of Chhattisgarh, which shares a border with Odisha’s Malkangiri district. The surrendered Maoists were carrying a combined reward amount of ₹64 lakh on their heads. They surrendered at the district police office before Sukma Superintendent of Police Kiran Chauhan.

According to the administration, each surrendered Maoist will receive immediate financial assistance of ₹50,000. In addition, they will be provided a monthly allowance of ₹10,000 for a period of three years to help them become self-reliant.
