Konark Festival & International Sand Art Exhibition to begin December 2 in Odisha

From 2 December onwards, the 36th Konark Festival and the 15th International Sand Art Exhibition will commence in Konark, Odisha, with the Open-Air Auditorium hosting the cultural event and Chandrabhaga beach accompanied by the Subhadra Fair. District Collector Divyajyoti Parida has inspected lighting and sound arrangements at the Sun Temple, Konark, as well as traffic, parking and water supply in anticipation of large tourist arrivals.
“A grand spectacle of dance, art and heritage awaits thousands of visitors; our preparations ensure their experience is memorable and safe,” said the collector.
The festival, scheduled through 5 December, promises a range of classical dance performances and sand-art showcases. According to the collector’s directives, a police flag-march will be held to ensure law and order and manage the crowd. Utilities such as lighting, drinking water, and parking have been reinforced in view of the event.
