The vibrant Kandhamal Mahotsav and Palli Shree Mela 2026 is currently underway at the Kandhamal Stadium in Phulbani, Odisha, celebrating the district’s rich art, culture, tradition and heritage. Over a five-day period, large crowds are gathering every evening to enjoy cultural performances and star night programmes featuring popular artists.

Star attractions this year include performances by Papu Pom Pom, Montu Churia, Ira Mohanty, and a special appearance by Indian Idol singer Mohammad Danish, drawing enthusiastic crowds eager to enjoy both music and cultural entertainment.

Alongside the music shows, numerous cultural stage acts and traditional folk dance performances have been presented by artists from Kandhamal as well as from other districts and neighbouring states, showcasing the diverse and colourful cultural tapestry of rural Odisha. Community members are also shopping at stalls and experiencing local crafts and products as part of the festive atmosphere.
