The Indian Army’s Romeo Force – 49 RR organised a cricket match near the India-Pakistan Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district, Jammu & Kashmir, aiming to engage local youth in positive sporting activities and strengthen community bonds, with teams competing at the hilly Tarian (Keri Balakot) ground close to the border; locals and youth appreciated the initiative, which saw participation from around 16 teams and was sponsored by 49 RR in collaboration with civil society to channel youth energy into sports.
