The excavation will recover and preserve the rock and fragmented remains of the Shiv temple that lie buried beneath the surface on the three sides of the site. ASI plans to spend around ₹4 crore on the restoration and protection of the temple remains, using scientific excavation methods to uncover valuable heritage materials.

The ceremony saw senior leaders and officials performing traditional rituals before the digging began, highlighting the cultural and archaeological importance of this rediscovery effort. The revived project aims to protect and showcase this ancient site for future generations.
