Bangladesh’s ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been declared guilty and handed the death sentence by the Bangladesh International Crimes Tribunal in the 2024 massacre case. The tribunal ruled that nearly 1,400 people were killed during a violent student-led agitation, where Hasina had allegedly ordered security forces to open fire.
