India is preparing to launch its own global-standard smartphone brand, Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has announced. Speaking in an interview at the World Economic Forum 2026, the minister said all necessary preparations have been completed and the brand is expected to be unveiled within the next 12 to 18 months.
