In a shocking revelation from Kantabanji town in Balangir district, police rescued 55 bonded labourers, including 14 children, from the house of K.V. College librarian Prakash Behera. The late-night raid took place on October 3, following a special tip-off. Prakash and his brother Brajesh Behera, both accused of operating as dadan sardars (illegal labour contractors), allegedly fled during the operation.
