Shubhankar Mishra has publicly apologised and removed a video from his YouTube channel after backlash over his comments about Shree Mandira tradition associated with the Puri temple. He stated that he had no ill intention (“no bad purpose”) — he neither meant to insult the tradition nor played with any faith knowingly. He said that Lord Jagannath is his deity, and Puri Dham is like home to him. He expressed gratitude to people of Odisha for their love and honour, and out of respect for their sentiments he chose to delete the video and apologise from the heart.
