Puri's Shree Jagannath Temple administration has issued show-cause notices to three servitors—Ramakrishna Khuntia, Madhab Khuntia, and Madhusudan Khuntia—for causing unjustified delays in the daily rituals (niti) on March 28, particularly in lifting the Bhogamandap and inner sanctum darshan. Devotees faced hours-long waits for Mahaprasad. The temple's Deputy Chief Administrator and District Collector Divyajyoti Parida stated that the lapses in duty during niti management will not be tolerated, directing the servitors to submit written explanations within 7 days; one servitor's earlier suspension order has also been withdrawn in connection with the matter.
