In a major crackdown in Koraput district, police have seized cannabis oil worth around Rs 200 crore from islands located inside the Jalaput Reservoir. The region, already known as a hub of ganja smuggling, has now revealed an innovative modus operandi involving the production and illegal trade of cannabis oil.

According to reports, people residing on the remote islands allegedly adopted technical methods to process and smuggle liquid cannabis for easier transportation and trade. The scale and sophistication of the operation have left many surprised.
