The Police Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment scam in Odisha has taken a major turn. Crime Branch has arrested 114 aspirants along with 3 brokers, while another 10–12 middlemen are reportedly under the scanner. The investigation is now focused on identifying the mastermind behind the large-scale irregularities.

According to reports, the Odisha Police Recruitment Board (OPRB) had entrusted exam management to ITI Limited, which further subcontracted the work to Silicon and later to Panchasoft Private Limited, headed by Shankar Prusty. This chain of outsourcing has raised serious questions about how such a crucial exam was handed over to private firms without adequate safeguards.
