A major aircraft accident occurred during landing at Baramati in Maharashtra, leading to the death of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. According to information released by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the crash took place while the aircraft was attempting to land.

Ajit Pawar was among five people who lost their lives in the accident. DGCA confirmed that a Personal Security Officer (PSO) and one attendant were also on board the aircraft at the time of the crash.
