Local residents near Haladiapadar overbridge in Berhampur, Odisha have appealed to the government to demolish the bridge, claiming it was constructed based on a wrong design that has repeatedly caused road accidents. The appeal comes amid public anger following a deadly road crash on the overbridge, where a speeding truck rammed into motorcycles, killing at least five people on National Highway-16 and injuring others.
