Tension flared up once again over a land dispute in Kalinganagar industrial area of Jajpur district, Odisha. Police and local villagers came face to face in Manoharpur area under Jakhapura police limits during a land boundary demarcation exercise conducted by the tehsil administration.

The situation turned tense at the spot as agitated villagers opposed the land measurement. Protesters burnt tyres and staged a road blockade. According to information, the local tehsil administration had fixed the day for demarcation of a private land parcel.
