A fresh twist has emerged in the death of a KIIT student near Chandaka on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar. What was initially treated as an unnatural death has now been converted into a murder case following a complaint by the victim’s father. The deceased has been identified as N. Aditya Abhijit, a 20-year-old second-year Electrical Engineering student of Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), and a resident of Unit-6, Bhubaneswar.

According to his father, Ajit Kumar Nayak, Aditya was allegedly murdered in a planned manner during a picnic with friends at Balunkeswar–Pathargadia area on the 13th. He also alleged that a dispute had taken place two days earlier and suspected the involvement of two former KIIT students.
