The ongoing conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the United States has entered its eighth day, after reportedly beginning on February 28. According to reports, the war has already claimed the lives of more than 1,200 people in Iran, including 165 schoolgirls, with no clear signs of de-escalation. The situation remains tense as attacks and retaliatory actions continue.

Iran-backed groups such as Hezbollah and the Houthis have also targeted Israel, expanding the conflict’s scope across the region. The war has begun affecting neighbouring countries and is reportedly impacting 14 nations in total.

Meanwhile, the closure of the Strait of Hormuz has disrupted global oil transport routes, pushing crude oil prices up by more than 10 percent to their highest level. Gulf nations have also shut their airspace in response to the crisis, resulting in the cancellation of over 11,000 flights across the region.
