Seven years after the sensational death of actress Nikita, a court has finally delivered its verdict. The District Additional Sessions Judge of Cuttack has convicted her husband, Lipan Sahu, and sentenced him to life imprisonment in the much-discussed case.

Nikita, also known as Laxmipriya Behera, died under circumstances that led to prolonged legal proceedings. Following the court’s ruling, members of her parental family have expressed relief and said they feel justice has finally been delivered.
