Odisha is on high alert as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall and thunderstorms in several districts over the next two days. A cyclonic circulation remains active over the south coastal regions of Andhra Pradesh and adjoining areas, influencing the weather patterns in the state. The IMD has issued warnings for districts including Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Malkangiri, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Jajpur, Cuttack, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Sonepur, Boudh, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Nabarangapur, Rayagada, and Koraput. Residents are advised to remain vigilant and follow safety guidelines issued by local authorities.
