ଆଜି ସରୁଛି କଟକର ଐତିହାସିକ ବାଲିଯାତ୍ରା। ସଂଧ୍ୟାରେ ପ୍ରବଳ ଭିଡ ରହିଛି। କାରଣ ଆଜି ରହିଛି ପ୍ରସିଦ୍ଧ ଗାୟିକା ଶ୍ରେୟା ଘୋଷାଲଙ୍କ ଶୋ। ବାଲିଯାତ୍ରା ପଡ଼ିଆରେ ହିନ୍ଦୀ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଗୀତର ଧୁମରେ ଝୁମିବେ ଲକ୍ଷାଧିକ ଦର୍ଶକ। ଶେଷ ଦିନରେ ଭିଡକୁ ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ରଖି ପୋଲିସ ଓ ପ୍ରଶାସନ ସଜାଗ ରହିଛି। ବାଲିଯାତ୍ରା ପ୍ରତି ସାଧାରଣ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ଆକର୍ଷଣ ଓ ଆଗ୍ରହ ତଥା ମେଳାରେ ବ୍ୟବସାୟୀଙ୍କ କାରବାରକୁ ନଜରରେ ରଖି ବାଲିଯାତ୍ରାକୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ଦିନ ପାଇଁ ବୃଦ୍ଧି କରାଯାଇଥିଲା।

The historic Baliyatra fair of Cuttack ends today amid huge festive excitement. Thousands have thronged the riverbank fairground this evening, as Bollywood playback singer Shreya Ghoshal takes the stage for a grand live performance. The air is electric with the rhythm of Odia and Hindi songs, drawing lakhs of visitors from across the state.

To manage the swelling crowd on the fair’s concluding day, the Cuttack Police and district administration have stepped up security arrangements. The fair, which celebrates Odisha’s ancient maritime legacy, was extended by one additional day this year following high public enthusiasm and brisk business by traders.
