Brahmapur Lawyer Pitabas Panda Murder Case: Bail Hearing for 5 Accused Adjourned Over Charge Sheet & Document Issues

In the high-profile murder case of senior advocate Pitabas Panda in Berhampur (Brahmapur), Ganjam, the bail hearing for five accused—including mastermind Vikram Panda (Bikram Panda)—has been adjourned due to problems in submitting the charge sheet and other documents to the court. Defense lawyers informed ADJ-3 court, which directed police to provide copies to the accused's counsel after submission. Separately, accused Malay Bishoyi’s bail plea will be heard on March 7 due to his health issues, while Pitabas Panda's brother dismissed Vikram Panda's recent health complaints as a "drama" to delay proceedings. The case stems from the October 2025 killing, with a massive 30,000+ page charge sheet filed earlier naming 16 accused.
