୧୬ ଡିସେମ୍ୱର ୨୦୨୫, ମଙ୍ଗଳବାର. ରାତି ସମୟ। କେନ୍ଦ୍ରାପଡ଼ା ଜିଲ୍ଲା ନିକିରାଇ ଥାନା କୋରରେ ପଞ୍ଚାୟତ ପାଳକଣା ଗାଁରେ ଘଟିଛି ଏହି ଅଘଟଣ l ଗୁପ୍ତଧନ ସନ୍ଧାନ ଓ ଗ୍ରହ ଶାନ୍ତି ପାଇଁ ଜଗବନ୍ଧୁ ମହାରଣାଙ୍କ ଘରେ ଚାଲିଥିଲା ପୂଜାର୍ଚ୍ଚନା l ୧୦ ଫୁଟ ଗଭୀର ଗାତରେ ପଶି ମାଟି ଖୋଳୁ ଥିବା ବେଳେ ଅଚାନକ ମାଟି ଅତଡ଼ା ଧସିବାରୁ ଜଗବନ୍ଧୁଙ୍କର ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ଘଟିଥିଲା। ଏହି ଘଟଣାରେ ନିକିରାଇ ପୁଲିସ ଏକ ମାମଲା ରୁଜୁ କରି ତଦନ୍ତ ଚଳାଇଛି । ଅଟକଥିବା ତାନ୍ତ୍ରିକର ଦୁଇ ସହଯୋଗୀଙ୍କୁ ଗିରଫ କରି କୋର୍ଟଚାଲାଣ କରାଯାଇଛି।

This tragic incident occurred in Palakana village under Nikirai police station in Kendrapada district. On Tuesday night, 16 December 2025, a ritual was being conducted at the house of Jagabandhu Maharana in the name of locating hidden treasure and performing planetary appeasement rituals. While digging inside a pit nearly 10 feet deep, a sudden collapse of soil occurred, leading to Jagabandhu’s death.
