A mesmerising scene unfolded on Puri’s Badadanda (Grand Road) during the holy month of Kartika, leaving devotees awestruck. Dressed in the divine attires of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra, a group of devotees walked along the Grand Road, symbolically recreating the presence of the Holy Trinity.

As the devotees appeared in the sacred costumes, chants of “Jai Jagannath” filled the air and the entire stretch of Badadanda erupted in joy and devotion. Pilgrims and locals described the moment as an “alaukika leela” — a divine play of the Lord witnessed in the earthly realm.

Kartika, considered one of the holiest months in the Hindu calendar, often draws devotees to Puri for special darshan and rituals. Such devotional expressions reflect the deep spiritual connection and cultural vibrancy surrounding the Jagannath tradition.
