ଓଡ଼ିଶାରେ ଇତିହାସ ପାଲଟିଯିବେ ମାଓବାଦୀ । କାରଣ ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ଏବେ ଶେଷ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟାୟରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିଛି ମାଓ ଦମନ ଅଭିଯାନ। ଶେଷ ଥର ପାଇଁ ରାୟଗଡ଼ା ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ଘଞ୍ଚ ଜଙ୍ଗଲରୁ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ନକ୍ସଲ ଦମ୍ପତ୍ତି ନିଖିଲ ଓ ଇନ୍ଦୁ ସମେତ ମୋଟ ୧୫ ମାଓବାଦୀଙ୍କ ଆତ୍ମସମର୍ପଣ ପରେ ଏବେ ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ହାତ ଗଣତି ପ୍ରାୟ ୪୦ ନକ୍ସଲ ସକ୍ରିୟ ଥିବା ବିଧାନସଭାରେ ତଥ୍ୟ ରଖିଛନ୍ତି ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ । ଯେଉଁମାନେ ରାଜ୍ୟର ୬ଟି ଜିଲ୍ଲାରେ ବଳଶୂନ୍ୟ ହୋଇ ଘୁରୁବୁଲୁଛନ୍ତି । ଆଉ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦମନ ପାଇଁ ଜାରି ରହିଥିବା ଅଭିଯାନ କ୍ରମରେ କନ୍ଧମାଳ ଜଙ୍ଗଲରେ SOG ଜାରି ରଖିଛି ନକ୍ସଲ ବିରୋଧୀ ବଡ଼ ଅପରେସନ୍ ।

Maoists are on the verge of becoming history in Odisha as anti-Maoist operations in the state have reached their final phase. After the recent surrender of 15 Maoists, including Odia Naxal couple Nikhil and Indu from the dense forests of Rayagada district, the Chief Minister informed the Odisha Legislative Assembly that only around 40 Naxals remain active in the state.

According to the data presented in the Assembly, these remaining Maoists are weakened and are moving across six districts. Security forces are continuing sustained operations to eliminate their presence completely.
