At Barabati Stadium, Cuttack, the ground staff under the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) has prepared a red-soil pitch for the upcoming match, aiming for a batting-friendly surface that can deliver a high-scoring contest. OCA curator Anjan Khuntia says the red-soil track is ready and expects batsmen to dominate under favourable conditions.

“On this red wicket, batters can play freely — we hope the match turns out to be a run-feast,” said Khuntia, expressing optimism about an entertaining game for cricket fans.

This marks a shift from traditional black-soil tracks, reflecting OCA’s effort to enhance playing conditions and provide quality cricket at Barabati. With this pitch, spectators can look forward to an exciting, high-voltage encounter.
