In a shocking incident in Kujipur village, Rajkanika block of Kendrapara district, a youth allegedly slit a girl's throat after she rejected his marriage proposal. The incident occurred when the youth visited the girl's home with his mother to discuss the upcoming marriage, scheduled for next month. During their conversation, an argument broke out between the two, leading to the youth attacking the girl with a sharp weapon. The girl screamed, alerting her family members, who rushed to her aid and found her in a pool of blood. She was immediately admitted to the Rajkanika Community Health Centre for treatment. The accused youth has been apprehended by the Rajkanika Police and is currently under judicial custody. The police are conducting further investigations into the matter.
