Woman Gives Birth Despite Sterilization; Family Demands Action Against Doctors in Bhadrak

A woman from Paradia village in Chandbali block, Bhadrak district, has given birth despite undergoing sterilization surgery. Her family has raised serious allegations against the doctors and health officials involved, demanding strict action.

Mandakini Malik, wife of Chittaranjan Malik, had previously given birth to two sons and one daughter. In March, with the help of a local health worker, she underwent sterilization surgery at the Chandbali Community Health Centre. Three months later, she discovered she was pregnant and confirmed it at the Bhadrak District Hospital. Despite informing the authorities, the family claims they received no support for financial assistance.
