ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ମାଉଥ କ୍ୟାନ୍ସର ରୋଗୀଙ୍କ ସଂଖ୍ୟା ବଢ଼ି ବଢ଼ି ଚାଲିଛି । ତେଣୁ ଗୁଟୁଖା ତମ୍ବାଖୁକୁ ବ୍ୟାନ କରାଯାଇଛି । ଏ ନେଇ ସ୍କୁଲ କଲେଜ ସହିତ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ବ୍ୟାପକ ଜନସଚେତନତା କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମର ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ଅଛି ବୋଲି କହିଛନ୍ତି ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ମୁକେଶ ମହାଳିଙ୍ଗ। ପାନମସଲା ଉପରେ ବ୍ୟାନ ଉଠିବ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ ଉପରେ ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ କହିଛନ୍ତି, କୋଟପା ଆଇନ ଅନୁଯାୟୀ କେବଳ ନିକୋଟିନ ଯୁକ୍ତ ପଦାର୍ଥ ଉପରେ ବ୍ୟାନ ଲଗାଯାଇଛି

With the number of mouth cancer patients rising in Odisha, Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling has said that the state government will conduct wide-ranging public awareness programmes against gutkha and tobacco consumption. He stressed that awareness campaigns are needed in schools, colleges and other public places to educate people about health risks.
