ଚାଷୀଙ୍କ ନିଦ ହଜାଇ ଦେଲେଣି ବଣୁଆ ହାତୀ। ଆଠଗଡ ବନଖଣ୍ଡରେ ୧୯ ଟିକିଆ ବଣୁଆ ହାତିପଲଙ୍କ ଉତ୍ପାତ। କେତେବେଳେ ରାସ୍ତା ଉପରେ ତ ଆଉ କେତେବେଳେ ଫସଲ ଜମିରେ। ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଧାନ ଅମଳ ସମୟ ହୋଇଥିବାରୁ ହାତୀମାନେ ଧାନ ଖାଇବା ପାଇଁ ଆଠଗଡ ବନଖଣ୍ଡର ଖୁଣ୍ଟୁଣୀ, ଆଠଗଡ ରେଞ୍ଜକୁ ପଶି ଆସିଛନ୍ତି। ଫଳରେ ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ଅଞ୍ଚଳର ଲୋକେ ଭୟରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି।

A herd of wild elephants has been causing sleepless nights for farmers in the Athagarh forest division. A group of 19 elephants has been roaming across roads and paddy fields in the Khuntuni and Athagarh ranges. As this is the peak paddy ripening season, the elephants have entered farmlands in search of crops, leaving local villagers deeply worried.

Residents say the herd frequently moves between forest patches and agricultural areas, creating fear among commuters and farmers. The situation has become tense as the animals continue to graze on standing crops.

According to locals, wild elephant movement in the region increases during harvest time, and the current herd has been particularly active, prompting villagers to stay alert through the night.
