Vigilance Trap: Junior Engineer Caught Taking Bribe in Malkangiri

In a major anti-corruption operation, Vigilance officials caught a Junior Engineer of the Electricity Department red-handed while accepting a bribe in Malkangiri. The accused JE, identified as Pradeep Nayak, was apprehended while taking ₹20,000 as bribe from a consumer in exchange for providing an electricity connection. The incident took place at the Sadar Electrical Division. Vigilance teams laid a trap based on a complaint and arrested the engineer on the spot. Further investigation is underway.
