Amid reports that the United States could strike Iran at any moment and with US warships deployed around the region, an unusual crisis has surfaced aboard the USS Gerald R. Ford, the world’s largest nuclear-powered aircraft carrier. More than 5,000 personnel are stationed on the vessel, where a serious sewage problem has reportedly disrupted operations.

Due to a malfunction in the vacuum system, nearly 650 toilets onboard are said to be non-functional. Sanitation staff are struggling to clean the blocked facilities, while morale among sailors has reportedly declined. Some personnel have even reduced their food intake fearing the need to use the toilets.
