Stone-Mafia Threat Forces Release of Seized Trucks in Balasore’s Dandharipur

In Dandharipur village of Bahanaga, Balasore district, three trucks laden with illegally extracted stones were released after their owners — backed by local youths and alleged stone mafia — threatened the junior mining officer, Jagannath Das. The officer had reached the spot on receiving tip-off about the unauthorised stone transport.
