A major tragedy was narrowly avoided after three coaches of the Chennai–New Jalpaiguri Express derailed near Jakhapura in Odisha’s Jajpur district on Thursday morning. The train was moving at a normal speed when it suddenly slipped off the tracks around 9 am. While the engine and luggage van remained on track, three coaches derailed, sending shockwaves among passengers.
