The North Bengal–Sikkim–Bhutan belt is witnessing the worst floods in years after relentless rainfall. Continuous downpour and water discharge from several dams have caused the Teesta River to overflow, submerging villages and towns alike. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams are working tirelessly to rescue stranded residents, shifting them to safer grounds.
