A 5–6-year-old male calf elephant died in Angul district of Odisha after consuming a human-made bomb, the Forest Department confirmed. The injured elephant was found in the Bantala forest range near Patharagada Sahi under Angul Forest Division. Despite intensive treatment efforts, the animal succumbed to its injuries during treatment.
