ଆମେ ନିଜେ ମନ ଖୋଲି ବିଧାୟକ ବାଛିଲୁ। ଏବେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଦରମା ଯଦି ୩ ଗୁଣ ହେଲା, ଲୋକେ କାହିଁକି ବିରୋଧ କରୁଛନ୍ତି। ତା'ମାନେ ବଛାବଛି ପ୍ରକ୍ରିୟାରେ କିଛି ଗୋଟେ ଗଣ୍ଡଗୋଳ ଅଛି। ଦରମା ବଢ଼ାଇଲା ବେଳକୁ ତ ସବୁ ଦଳ ମିଶିକି ସର୍ବସମ୍ମତିରେ ଏକାଠି ହୋଇଗଲେ। ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ଉନ୍ନତି ପାଇଁ ଯଦି ସବୁ ଦଳ ଏକାଠି ହୋଇଯାଆନ୍ତେ, ଆଉ ବିରୋଧୀ ଦଳର ଆବଶ୍ୟକତା ରହିବ ନାହିଁ। ଏଭଳି କହିଛନ୍ତି ପୂର୍ବତନ ବିଧାୟକ ସୌମ୍ୟରଞ୍ଜନ ପଟ୍ଟନାୟକ। ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ନୂଆ ଆଞ୍ଚଳିକ ଦଳ ଗଠନ ପ୍ରସଙ୍ଗରେ ସେ କହିଛନ୍ତି ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ କୌଣସି ଦଳ ନଜ ନିଜର ପ୍ରକୃତ ଭୂମିକା ନିର୍ବାହ କରୁନାହାନ୍ତି।

Former MLA Soumya Ranjan Patnaik has reacted to the issue of MLA salary hike and the discussion around forming a new regional party in Odisha. He said legislators were chosen by the people themselves, and if their salaries have been increased threefold, the public opposition points to problems in the selection process.

Soumya Ranjan Patnaik stated that when it came to raising salaries, all political parties came together unanimously. He added that if all parties united genuinely for Odisha’s development, there would be no need for an opposition party.

Speaking on the proposal of a new regional party in the state, the former MLA said that at present, no political party is performing its real role in Odisha’s political landscape.
