In a major development in the SI examination scam, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a preliminary chargesheet against 16 accused, backed by documentary evidence. The chargesheet names several individuals allegedly linked to irregularities in the recruitment process.

Among those named in the chargesheet are Shankar Prusti, Muna Mahanti, Soumya Priyadarshini Samal and Nitish Kumar. The agency has stated that sufficient evidence has been collected against the accused persons.

The CBI has also clarified that the investigation is still underway and indicated that the involvement of more individuals cannot be ruled out at this stage.
