President Droupadi Murmu to Address Odisha Assembly as Winter Session Begins

ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୋଇଛି ବିଧାନସଭାର ଶୀତକାଳୀନ ଅଧିବେଶନ। ଆଜି ପ୍ରଥମ ଦିନରେ ଦିବଙ୍ଗତ ସଦସ୍ୟଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ଶୋକ ପ୍ରସ୍ତାବ ଆଗତ କରିଥିଲେ ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ମୋହନ ମାଝୀ । ୧ ମିନିଟ୍ ର ନିରବ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା ପରେ ସାଢ଼େ ୪ ଯାଏଁ ଗୃହ ମୁଲତବି ରହିଛି । ଆଜି ଗୃହରେ ଅଭିଭାଷଣ ରଖିବେ ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରପତି ଦ୍ରୌପଦୀ ମୁର୍ମୁ । ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ଦିନ ଗୃହରେ ଆସିବ ଅତିରିକ୍ତ ବଜେଟ୍। ଡିସେମ୍ବର ୩୧ ତାରିଖ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଚାଲିବ ଅଧିବେଶନ । ଚଳିତ ଅଧିବେଶନରେ ମୋଟ ୨୯ଟି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟଦିବସ ରହିଛି ।

The winter session of the Odisha Vidhan Sabha commenced today, with dignified proceedings including a condolence motion for the late members introduced by Chief Minister Mohan Majhi. After a minute of silent tribute, attention turns to the main event: President Droupadi Murmu will deliver her address to the house.

“This session marks an important moment for our state’s governance,” said an Assembly official, underlining the significance of the presidential address.

The session — scheduled to run till December 31 with a total of 29 working days — will also take up an additional budget on the second day, signalling a busy legislative agenda ahead for Odisha.
