President Draupadi Murmu to Address Odisha Legislative Assembly Today

ଆଜି ଓଡ଼ିଶା ଆସିବେ ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରପତି ଦ୍ରୌପଦୀ ମୁର୍ମୁ। ବିଧାନସଭା ଶୀତ ଅଧିବେଶନକୁ ସମ୍ବୋଧିତ କରିବେ। ପ୍ରଥମ ଥର ପାଇଁ ଓଡ଼ିଶା ବିଧାନସଭାରେ ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରପତି ଉଦବୋଧନ ଦେବାର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ରହିଛି। ବିଧାନସଭାରେ ଅଭିଭାଷଣ ରଖିବା ପରେ ୧୧ ନମ୍ବର ରୁମକୁ ଆସି ସମୟ ବିତାଇବେ ମହାମହିମ ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରପତି ଦ୍ରୌପଦୀ ମୁର୍ମୁ। ୨୦୦୦ରୁ ୨୦୦୪ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ପରିବହନ ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଥିବା ବେଳେ ୧୧ ନଂ ଚାମ୍ବର ଥିଲା ତାଙ୍କ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟାଳୟ। ତେଣୁ ବିଧାନସଭାରୁ ସ୍ମୃତି ସାଉଁଟିବା ବେଳେ ଏହି ଚାମ୍ବରରେ କିଛି ସମୟ ବିତାଇବେ ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରପତି। ସେଥିପାଇଁ ବିଧାନସଭା ସମେତ ଚାମ୍ବରକୁ ବି ସଜାଯାଇଛି।

Today, President Draupadi Murmu will arrive in Odisha and address the Odisha Legislative Assembly — marking the first time a sitting President has done so. After the address, she is scheduled to visit Room 11 of the Assembly, the chamber she used during her tenure as Transport Minister from 2000 to 2004.

“Her Excellency will spend some time in Chamber 11 after the Assembly session,” officials say — a symbolic revisit to her former working space.

The Assembly complex, including the chamber, has been specially prepared for this historic session and the President’s visit. This event is both an institutional milestone and a moment of personal significance for President Murmu.
