PM Modi’s Peace Message at Knesset: Zero Tolerance on Terror

ଆମେ ଶାନ୍ତିର ଦୂତ । ଆମ ପାଇଁ ସାରା ବିଶ୍ବର ଏକ ପରିବାର। ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ୍ ସଂସଦ କନେସେଟକୁ ସମ୍ବୋଧିତ କରି ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ନରେନ୍ଦ୍ର ମୋଦି ଏମିତି କିଛି କଥା କହି ବିଶ୍ୱକୁ ଶାନ୍ତି ଓ ମାନବିକତାର ଏକ ବଡ଼ ବାର୍ତ୍ତା ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି। ସେ କହିଛନ୍ତି, ଭାରତ ସବୁବେଳେ ଶାନ୍ତିର ପକ୍ଷରେ ରହିଆସିଛି। ଭାରତ ବୁଦ୍ଧ ଓ ଗାନ୍ଧିଙ୍କ ଦେଶ। ଆମେ ଯୁଦ୍ଧ ନୁହେଁ, ଶାନ୍ତିର ଦୂତ ଭାବେ ସାରା ବିଶ୍ୱରେ ପରିଚିତ। କୌଣସି ବି ସମସ୍ୟାର ସମାଧାନ ଯୁଦ୍ଧ ମଇଦାନରେ ନୁହେଁ, ବରଂ ଆଲୋଚନା ଓ କୂଟନୀତି ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ହୋଇପାରିବ ବୋଲି ଭାରତ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରେ। ଏଥିସହ ନିଜ ଅଭିଭାଷଣରେ ଗାଜାରେ ଚାଲିଥିବା ମାନବିକ ସଙ୍କଟ ଉପରେ ଚିନ୍ତା ପ୍ରକଟ କରି ମୋଦି କହିଛନ୍ତି, ଗାଜାରେ ଶାନ୍ତି ପ୍ରତିଷ୍ଠା ପାଇଁ ଯେଉଁ ପ୍ରସ୍ତାବ ରଖାଯାଇଛି, ତାହା ମାନବିକତା ପାଇଁ ଜରୁରୀ। ଭାରତ ଏହି ଶାନ୍ତି ପ୍ରସ୍ତାବକୁ ସମର୍ଥନ କରୁଛି ଓ ସେଠି ଖୁବଶୀଘ୍ର ସ୍ଥିରତା ଫେରିବ। ହମାସର ଅକ୍ଟୋବର ୭ ଆକ୍ରମଣକୁ ବର୍ବରୋଚିତ କହିଛନ୍ତି ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ। ଶାନ୍ତିର କଥା କହିବା ସହ ଆତଙ୍କବାଦ ପ୍ରସଙ୍ଗରେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ୍ ସଂସଦରୁ ପରୋକ୍ଷାରେ ପାକିସ୍ତାନକୁ ଚେତେଇ ବି ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି ।

Addressing the Knesset, the Parliament of Israel, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a strong message of peace, humanity and zero tolerance against terrorism. He said India has always stood for peace and believes that conflicts cannot be resolved on the battlefield but through dialogue and diplomacy.

Referring to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the Prime Minister expressed concern and said proposals aimed at restoring peace are essential for humanity. He termed the October 7 attack by Hamas as barbaric and asserted that India follows a policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism. He also warned that double standards on terrorism will not be tolerated and called for global unity against it.

During his address, PM Modi also mentioned a unique coincidence, noting that he was born on 17 September 1950 — the same day India formally recognised Israel. He became the first Indian Prime Minister to address the Knesset.
