ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ନକ୍ସଲ ବାହିନୀ ଲଢୁଛନ୍ତି ଶେଷ ଲଢ଼େଇ । ଓଡ଼ିଶାରେ ସକ୍ରିୟ ଅଛନ୍ତି ମାତ୍ର ୪୦ ମାଓବାଦୀ । ଆଜି ବିଧାନସଭାରେ ଏହି ସୂଚନା ରଖିଛନ୍ତି ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ମୋହନ ଚରଣ ମାଝୀ । ସେପଟେ ୪୦ ମାଓବାଦୀଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେବଳ କନ୍ଧମାଳରେ ୩୦ ଜଣ ମାଓବାଦୀ ରହିଥିବା ସୂଚନା ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି ଏଡିଜି ସଂଜୀବ ପଣ୍ଡା। କନ୍ଧମାଳ ନଣ୍ଡାବାଡ଼ି ଜଙ୍ଗଲରେ ୨ ନକ୍ସଲ ନିହତ ପରେ ଏବେ ସେଠାରେ ଜାରି ରହିଛି ଜୋରଦାର କମ୍ବିଂ ଅପରେସନ୍ ।

The Mohan Charan Majhi informed the Assembly that only 40 Maoists are currently active in Odisha. The Chief Minister stated that Maoist cadres in the state are fighting their “last battle” as security forces tighten operations.

Meanwhile, Sanjeeb Panda, ADG, said that out of the 40 Maoists, around 30 are present in Kandhamal district. After two Maoists were killed in the Nandabadi forest area of Kandhamal, an intensive combing operation is currently underway.
