A family in Raibania village of Baleshwar district, Odisha, is unable to perform the last rites of their deceased relative because they had changed their religion, leading to strong opposition from villagers. The incident occurred after the death of Chhuta Hasanda on Wednesday. His younger son Bhim Hasanda had embraced Christianity, and the family decided to bury the body behind their house according to their faith, but villagers opposed the plan.
